Ashutosh Gowariker’s magnum opus Mohenjo Daro has got cine-lovers all excited courtesy its novel content and powerful star cast and now, the makers have piqued the audience’s curiosity all the more with their fantastic teaser poster, which makes it worth the wait, as they say “Der Aaye Lekin Durust Aaye!” This poster reaches the audience just over two months before the film’s release, an unheard of norm as other films release first looks much earlier, some even a year earlier.
The teaser poster of the period romance features a round-shaped seal, which has the forms of six animals – a unicorn, a bull, an elephant, a tiger, a rhinoceros and a deer, embossed on it along with words in the Sindhu Script, the language of the Indus Valley. As several seals were found by archaeologists during excavations, we can safely say that the makers have been able to capture the essence of the Bronze Age civilization with their very first poster in an enigmatic and representative manner that is truly unique.
The bronze-gold poster is enigmatic and intriguing and will make you want to know more about the glorious city and more so the film, which promises to be the biggest movie event of the year. Set in the ancient city of Mohenjo Daro, the much-awaited movie stars Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. Kabir Bedi and Arunoday Singh also have pivotal roles in the film.
The movie's music has been composed by Academy Award-winning music director A.R. Rahman and veteran writer Javed Akhtar has penned the lyrics. Produced by Sidharth Roy Kapur and Sunita Gowariker, Mohenjo Daro is all set to release on August 12, this year.
